BarCoded's Misson
BarCoded aims to maximize athlete potential by eliminating organizational inefficiency and unnecessary expenses related to training tools. We do this by taking any day-to-day smart watches and turning them into highly functional performance devices for athletes.
BarCoded empowers teams by turning athletes' existing smartwatches into a powerful analytics platform, delivering unique insights into movement consistency and fatigue to optimize performance and reduce injury risk, all managed through a single, intuitive coaching portal.

The Tech Behind BarCoded
Introducing The BarCoded App
The tech behind barcoded: At BarCoded, we've built an all-in-one training platform that empowers athletes and coaches to optimize performance through objective data and streamlined organization, all at a fraction of the cost of traditional velocity-based training (VBT) and team management tools. BarCoded connects to everyday smartwatches, using their built-in sensors to track real-time velocity, acceleration, and other critical physical metrics during strength training.

This objective performance data is then seamlessly relayed to our central platform, giving coaches unprecedented insight into their athletes' training, whether they're with the team or working out remotely. Every measure of performance is brought together in one central dashboard. From here, coaches can prescribe workouts, view objective data from every session, and monitor athlete development, allowing them to provide timely and precise feedback. BarCoded brings simplicity, data-driven clarity, and affordability to modern athletic development.

Hi! My name is Sufyan and I'm a second year Kinesiology student at McMaster University. Since I was young, I always wanted to become an entrepreneur. I immersed myself in new technologies through programs, such as TKS (The Knowledge Society) or on my own volition. Becoming the CEO of BarCoded is a decision I made due to an increasing passion for fitness and my belief that there is more of a need to integrate technology in the gym. Working on both the tech and business side of this company, I make it this BarCoded's goal to provide gym-goers with more satisfaction during their workouts and achieve their fitness goals easier and quicker.

Hi! My name is Saksham, and I’m entering my second year of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western University. I’m passionate about fitness, applied mathematics, and machine learning. I am particularly curious about how machine learning can drive technical innovation, and integrating it into the fitness world is one of the main reasons I joined BarCoded as CTO. Additionally, I’m eager to use my skills and passions to help build a product that will benefit gym-goers of all levels.
